ABOUT ARONDE

Weddings in France, Planned with More Clarity

Beautiful weddings begin with inspiration. Thoughtful planning takes something more — reliable information, practical experience, and an understanding of how everything comes together.

ARONDE Weddings is an independent resource helping international couples navigate the practical side of planning a destination wedding in France.

Through carefully researched guides, personalized venue and vendor research, and planning tools, we help you ask better questions, understand your options, and make informed decisions.

Built on Real Wedding Industry Experience

ARONDE was founded by Alexandra, whose background includes over ten years of experience in the U.S. wedding industry, spanning photography, bridal hair and makeup, and wedding planning.

This experience offers a valuable perspective on what happens behind the scenes — and how planning decisions affect the wedding day itself.

Wedding Photography

Understanding how a wedding day unfolds, from preparations to the final celebration — and how timing, lighting, and unexpected delays affect the experience.

Bridal Hair & Makeup

Firsthand experience with wedding morning schedules, preparation time, and the coordination needed between the wedding party and other professionals.

Wedding Planning

Bringing the details together through practical schedules, vendor coordination, and an understanding of how each part of the celebration depends on the others.
Three perspectives. One approach: planning that considers how a wedding actually works.
A Personal Connection to France

Alexandra’s connection to French weddings began with her very first visit to France — for a friend’s wedding, which she also helped plan.

That experience introduced her not only to the beauty of celebrating a wedding in France, but also to the practical challenges of organizing an event in an unfamiliar place.

She also understands what it means to plan a wedding from a distance. Having organized her own wedding remotely, in another city, she knows how much depends on asking the right questions, coordinating people, and making important decisions without always being there in person.

These experiences helped inspire ARONDE — a resource created to combine the beauty of weddings in France with the practical guidance couples need when planning from abroad.

Research That Goes Beyond Inspiration

Beautiful photographs can help you fall in love with a wedding venue. But they rarely tell you everything you need to know before booking it.

At ARONDE, we look beyond appearances. We research practical details, ask questions, and seek insights from wedding professionals to better understand the challenges couples may face when planning a celebration in France.

01

We Research

We explore venues, vendors, and planning options, looking beyond photographs and promotional descriptions to identify practical details that matter.

02

We Ask

We contact relevant venues and professionals to clarify pricing, availability, restrictions, logistics, and other important conditions.

03

We Learn

We seek insights from planners, photographers, caterers, venue managers, and other wedding professionals to understand recurring challenges and overlooked details.

04

We Share

We turn what we discover into practical guides, research reports, checklists, and planning tools that help couples make more informed decisions.
Not just what looks beautiful. What needs to work.

The Story Behind ARONDE

I spend part of the year in a quiet village in the French countryside, in a home where swallows build their nests beneath the roof.

Watching these little birds return each year has become one of my favorite parts of being there.

When I was choosing a name for this project, I wanted something that felt connected to France and to my own story.

Aronde is an old French word for swallow. When I discovered it, the name immediately felt right.

For me, it brings together a sense of home, belonging, and new beginnings — things that feel especially meaningful when two people are starting a life together.

That's how ARONDE got its name.
